 Psychotherapy for Adults & Couples

I am here to help.

I help people who are feeling alone and anxious. I know the world may feel unsafe and scary right now. Every day it seems like there is something new to worry about: the ongoing public health crisis, xenophobia and violence against Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), unemployment and economic upheaval, ... the list seems endless. Your daily routine is disrupted and you may feel cutoff from friends and family and life as you knew it. I am here to help.

I help people who feel self-doubt, stress, lost, stuck or lack of meaning in their work, relationships or their own identity.

Call me and get help. I am here to provide a safe space, sit with you in your experience and support you. I am conducting sessions via video and phone.

• Maybe you feel stuck.
• How do you think about your identity in the face of societal or cultural expectations / family obligations?

CHOOSING A THERAPIST

Kavita Comoglio, POC Therapist in Berkeley
I understand the ambivalence you may feel in deciding to seek help and from whom you seek help.  When you come to me for help, I will honor your beliefs, traditions, and values. My approach is culturally centered, which means I work sensitively and respectfully within the framework of your unique cultural context.

Your culture,
societal and familial norms, and your personal beliefs and values influence how you perceive and experience mental and emotional health. Culture shapes your style of coping with stressors and prescribes the supports you have to help you cope.  As a woman of color and immigrant, I hold an affirming perspective about your social and cultural identities.
