Therapy is a relationshipTherapy is a relationship built on a foundation of confidentiality and trust. Trust is something you feel when you are in a safe and secure relationship. The therapy relationship is collaborative, so we go at your pace and we make decisions about your therapy together.
As you begin to feel you are in a trusting relationship — maybe for the first time -- you will feel free to be more open, to be able to share your deepest thoughts and feelings, and to explore the hidden parts of yourself. Within the context of a nonjudgmental, kind, and nurturing relationship with me, you will feel what it is truly like to relate to another person without worrying about being judged or having to tamp down your needs to take care of the other person. Therapy provides a relationship for you to experience what's it's like to be seen and heard fully. |
What is therapy?Therapy is a safe, nonjudgmental, and nurturing space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and to engage your natural curiosity to challenge assumptions and try-on new perspectives. Therapy is quiet time free from distractions, deadlines, and other people's expectations to reflect on yourself and your life experiences, know yourself in a deeper way, and discover your path for your future.
